Magicrete AAC Blocks is a cost effective and eco-friendly substitute to red-clay bricks as walling material. AAC Blocks contain 80% air and therefore weigh 1/3rd of red clay bricks. It is formed as a reaction of aluminium metal with blended portion of lime, cement, gypsum & fly ash. The hydrogen gas escaping from the reaction gives it a strong honey-comb structure. It is further cured in an autoclave under high pressure steam to give its desired strength.
1. Fire Resistant - The melting point of AAC blocks are over 1600 degree celsius, more than twice the typical temperature in building fire (650 degree celsius).
2. Earthquake Resistant - Earthquake forces on structure are proportional to the weight of the building, hence light weight blocks show excellent resistance to earthquake forces.
3. Acoustic Properties - With a Sound Transmission Class rating of 44, it can be used as a sound barrier wall along busy roads.
4. Thermal Insulation - Highest thermal rating in the industry R30. AAC reduces air conditioning cost upto 30%.
5. Ease of working - AAC can be drilled, sawed, nailed and chiselled like wood.
6. Pest Resistant - With solid wall construction and finishes, there are fewer if any, cavities for insects & rodents to dwell in. Being made up of inorganic minerals, light weight blocks does not promote growth of molds.
7. Energy Efficient - It is 100% green building material made up of industrial waste, Fly Ash.
8. High Strength - High pressure steam curing autoclaving process gives AAC blocks unamatchable strength to weight ratio than even M 150 concrete.
